I’ve been growing and selling this variety of fig for many years. Many satisfied customers get to harvest figs; usually beginning in mid September till hard frost kills them off. If you live in town you might see them sooner. They are happy to stay in the pot on your windowsill for the rest of the winter. Next spring you can grow these in 5 gallon pots or plant them outside. They thrive in this region. Figs like it on the dry side but are realy not that fussy. The more protected the planting location the better. Frost is the biggest enemy of the fruit because fruiting is usually late season. If you can get the going early by covering and prepare to protect them from those September and October frosts you’ll get tons of figs.
