Italian oregano is a perennial. It should survive nicely outside in this region with some protection from wind and shade; maybe close to your kitchen door! It will be fine over winter in it’s current pot and needs to go outside or into a larger pot next season. There’s plenty of plant to use for cooking all winter. Well, maybe if your making A LOT of something.... Likes the shoulder seasons best and a bit of shade mid summer helps a lot. moderate moisture works here. heres a link to how version and international this is https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oregano
